The art of editing in Photoshop

DON’T WORRY I KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING AND DIFFICULT IT CAN BE, BUT YOU CAN DO IT!
I want to share with you some tips to get you started and/or improve your knowledge of editing and using Photoshop
EDITING PHOTOS IS A REAL ART AND THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN KNOWING HOW TO DO IT. LEARNING HOW TO USE PHOTOSHOP IS FUNDAMENTAL TO CONTINUE GROWING IN YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC PATH.
You should also learn how to edit your photos
CAN I TELL YOU WHY I EDIT MY PHOTOS?
Because for me, it’s like finishing a painting that I started to “paint” when I was preparing the session.
That’s when I give my stamp and artistic style to the photos and that’s why I love editing! But you have to do it with a clear intention, mine is to take the photograph to what I imagined before taking it and my vision of that moment.
Cameras are often not able to see that magnificent sunset in the same way you do. Or capture the same color intensity, or the same contrast, and certainly not the same tonal range in the highlights and shadows.
There are some purist photographers who believe that there is no need to edit, but the truth is that, since always, the great masters of photography, like Ansel Adams with his fantastic nature photos, have manipulated their work, they did it in dark rooms, with chemicals, they modified exposure, contrast and gave it their stamp, that is to say, they edited them!
AND YOU SHOULD EDIT YOUR PHOTOS!
I call it a “challenge”, as I believe the camera doesn’t “see” the world the same way you do, and that’s your goal when editing.
Be unique, be creative, show your art, share your taste, long live creative freedom!
Photo editing allows you to try different finishes, which means you can be free from limitations when it comes to conveying your message.
There are many programs for editing, several on phones, several that just apply different filters, but don’t let you be you in the editing.
My favorites are Lightroom and Photoshop, both from Adobe (https://www.adobe.com/la/).
For me they are complementary programs and help me create my art.
They have infinite possibilities, but in general I organize, select and work all the basics in Lightroom and then in Photoshop, skin retouching, background corrections, contrast, toning, and whatever the photograph asks for or allows me to convey what I want and how I want.
Of course these are programs that are better to study, to get the most out of them.
Every day you learn something new
How many people in the world give up when something scares them. In the case of Photoshop they stop trying or learning.
Many don’t know how much the program can help them because they don’t know how to make the most of it, others who use a couple of tools and options without knowing how much they could improve with a few simple steps!
Don’t worry, it’s happened to all of us and that’s why I want to help you!
I know all too well how frustrating it can be to use Photoshop.
There are so many tools, buttons and options that make confusion and giving up on the program the obvious thing to do. However, what the person who gives up on PhotoShop or doesn’t get the most out of it doesn’t know is
How easy it can be with the right help!
IF I TOLD YOU HOW MUCH I STUDIED AND HOW MUCH TIME I SPENT LEARNING HOW TO EDIT, YOU WOULDN’T BELIEVE ME!
